Lynn Cagney
has a diverse background having been a solo practitioner for several years, an attorney in the Tax Department at CNA Financial Corporation, Chicago, IL and a litigation attorney at Kiesler & Berman, Chicago, IL. Ms. Cagney's practice has been concentrated in general corporate and business transactions, federal tax matters, estate planning, and real estate transactions. Ms. Cagney's taxation experience includes corporate and individual income taxation, estate and gift tax planning, income taxation of new financial products, and international taxation.
Ms. Cagney has been working with Daniel G. Coman and Mark D. Anderson in their practice representing wealthy individuals and business owners and developing estate plans and succession plans.
Ms. Cagney is a former Chairperson of Division C (Corporate Taxation) and a former member of the Executive Committee of the Federal Taxation Section of the Chicago Bar Association.
Ms. Cagney has a J.D. and L.L.M. (Taxation) from DePaul University College of Law and a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois (Urbana).
